This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Putki ("we", "us", "our") on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the Putki platform and website, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
We use your personal data to provide and improve the service. By using Putki, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Definitions
- Account means a unique account created for you to access Putki or parts of the Putki platform.
- Company refers to Putki. For GDPR purposes, Putki is the Data Controller.
- Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website, containing details of your browsing history among other uses.
- Customer means the organization or individual that has purchased a Putki subscription.
- Data Controller refers to Putki as the legal entity that determines the purposes and means of processing Personal Data.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. Under GDPR, this includes name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of a person.
- Platform Services means the Putki subscription software services to which the Customer is subscribed, including the Putki distribution, connectors, observability tooling, governance features, and support services.
- Processing means any operation performed upon Personal Data, whether by automatic means — including collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, dissemination, alignment, blocking, erasure or destruction.
- Service refers to the Putki platform and the putki.io website.
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of Putki, including third-party companies employed to facilitate, provide, or support the Service.
- Usage Data refers to data collected automatically when using the Service, such as the duration of a page visit or pipeline execution logs.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or legal entity on whose behalf that individual is acting. Under GDPR, you are the Data Subject.

Data you provide directly When you sign up for Putki, request a demo, contact support, or fill in a form on putki.io, you may provide us with:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Company name and job title
- Billing address
Data we collect automatically When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:
- IP address and device identifiers
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited, time and date of visit, time spent on pages
- Pipeline execution metadata (pipeline name, run status, row counts, duration) — used exclusively for observability features within your Putki subscription
- Diagnostic and error data
Data from third parties We may receive information about you from public databases, joint marketing partners, or social media platforms when you interact with our content.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on putki.io. These include:

- For business continuity — in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset transfer, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets
How We Share Your Data
We do not sell your Personal Data.

Data Retention
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
Pipeline execution metadata collected for observability purposes is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted within 90 days of contract termination, unless you request earlier deletion.
Usage Data is generally retained for shorter periods unless required for security or legal purposes.
Data Transfer
Your data may be processed at Putki's operating offices and by subprocessors located in other countries. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place — including Standard Contractual Clauses — in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Security
We take the security of your Personal Data seriously. Putki is built with security as a core principle: hardened distributions, vulnerability scanning, and patch management are part of every release. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We apply commercially reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
GDPR — Your Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — to know what Personal Data we hold about you and how it is used
- Right to rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
